Satcom Direct (SD) has appointed Evgeniy Pashkov as regional director for eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia and the CIS. He will oversee SD sales and business development activities in these regions from his Dubai base, and will report to SD international VP Michael Skou Christensen. Pashkov aims to retain and grow SD's market share, oversee customer support services and expand the company's service portfolio. He is fluent in English and Russian.

“I look forward to building awareness of Satcom Direct and its products and services in the region,” he says. “SD takes a mission-first approach with its clients that sets us apart from the competition. With our newly-introduced product portfolio 'SD Xperience' we are well-positioned to listen to the customer's specific needs and tailor a custom solution. I'm very excited to bring this product and our philosophy to operators.”

Having already gained experience in charter sales, trip support and operations, Pashkov joined SD in 2013 and most recently held the title of business development director for Eastern Europe, Russia and the CIS. He will now be supported by colleagues based in Dubai, Moscow and Cape Town.

“SD is a dynamic, innovative business that focuses on delivering customised solutions to our customers and Evgeniy's approach epitomises these qualities," states Christensen. "We are pleased to promote him from within the business and look forward to seeing him further develop SD in a region that is extremely important to the company."
