Luxivair recruits to sustain double digit traffic increases
Pitching itself as an alternative to 'congested and costly' FBOs in southern California, Luxivair's two-storey atrium with travertine floors and floor-to-ceiling windows offers sweeping views of the San Bernardino Mountains.

Following steady year-on-year increases in all categories of general aviation traffic, Luxivair at San Bernardino International airport has recently hired two additional customer service representatives and increased its crew of fuel line technicians to nine.

San Bernardino International airport director of aviation Mark Gibbs says: “On average, prop and piston traffic has increased 26 per cent each year and corporate jet traffic has demonstrated even greater momentum, rising an average of 34 per cent annually. The FBO's convenience to greater Los Angeles and its ability to handle aircraft of any size have continued to boost activity. Adding to our team will allow us to deliver superior service.”

Amenities at the FBO include a conference room, flight planning room, crew lounge, exercise room and a theatre with stadium seating. The full-service business complex additionally provides ground support, concierge professionals, courtesy vehicles, car rentals and hotel shuttles. It is also supported by multiple MROs on the field.

Luxivair manager Wendy Bechtel adds: “The FBO has been southern California's best-kept secret, but as our growth suggests, word is getting out. We're excited to present it as a more accessible, cost-effective alternative to anyone considering a new FBO location in southern California, then impress them with our amenities and services.”
