ASG hosts Guernsey business aviation event

Handling and maintenance organisation ASG recently hosted a business aviation event at Guernsey airport. Fellow Channel Islands partners offshore bank Investec CI, investment services group Ravenscroft, Swoffers estate agency, insurance company Sydney Charles and relocation agent Locate Guernsey partnered in the event.

ASG provided exclusive use of its FBO facilities, including hangar space and ramp area, to enable the visiting business jets, turboprops, helicopters and light aircraft to be presented by their sales teams.

Participating manufacturers included Honda, Gulfstream, Embraer, Bombardier, Dassault and Textron. Others such as Pilatus, TBM, Cirrus and Eclipse, Leonardo and Robinson were represented through their dealers.

The invitation-only event was attended by over 200 guests, who were able to explore the benefits of business and private aviation as well as access the related services and expertise available in Guernsey.

“Given the large concentration of HNWIs in the Channel Islands, an invitation-only event that is aimed at potential purchasers and provides OEMs with a select audience to promote their aircraft makes great sense. Clearly the model is working well as support from the OEMs has increased year on year; we initially set up the event four years ago and started with just six aircraft, while for this year’s event 17 aircraft flew in,” says ASG CEO Steve Page.

Toby Robillard of Investec CI adds: “A targeted event such as this provides Guernsey with the ideal opportunity to showcase its aviation capabilities including finance, registration (2-REG), ownership structuring, hangarage, management, sales, maintenance and insurance. I truly believe that with the industry expertise based in the islands we can offer a full solution for anyone looking to purchase an aircraft.”
