Sino Jet, dually headquartered in Beijing and Hong Kong, has been certified to IS-BAO Stage III by IBAC. Stage III is the final and highest level in a five-year performance-based assessment that recognises compliance with the IS-BAO standards and practices. Sino Jet is the first Chinese operator to reach Stage III, following an in-depth audit and rating of its SMS since 2013.
The company is also rapidly expanding in mainland China with bases in Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Zhuhai and Chengdu. Founder, chairperson and former AsBAA chair Jenny Lau says: “Safety is at the core of everything we do at Sino Jet and we are proud to be the first Chinese operator to have reached this important milestone. Our major priority is to secure the highest possible safety standards for our clients, while delivering value and excellence to our stakeholders.
“The growth that we all expect and wish to see in China can only be achieved with a consistent application of best practices and safety excellence across the industry. We believe that this step forward supports not just our objectives, but that it will also lead to an enhanced culture of safety for business aviation in China.”
IBAC director general Kurt Edwards adds: “IS-BAO is a global voluntary code of best practices designed to help flight departments worldwide achieve high levels of safety and professionalism. We are delighted to recognise Sino Jet in achieving Stage III, which sets the standard for the wider industry as business aviation matures in mainland China.”
