DPJ to be official jet carrier for Fort Lauderdale boat show
The private aviation and yachting industries often intersect due to their shared clientele, and this year Delta Private Jets is to be the official carrier for Florida’s major boat show in Fort Lauderdale.

Ohio-headquartered Delta Private Jets (DPJ), a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, is to be the official private jet carrier of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and presenting sponsor of its Windward VIP Club. Claimed to be the largest in-water boat show in the world, the event attracts around 110,000 global boating enthusiasts and 1,200 exhibitors.

DPJ vice president of corporate strategy and business development Kelly Love says: “Private aviation and yachting go hand-in-hand, delivering the utmost level of service and luxury travel accommodation. As the official private jet carrier of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show the DPJ brand will complement the spirit of yachting by inviting guests to learn about the luxuries of private aviation.”

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida estimates that more than 1,000 private aircraft land at regional FBOs during the show each year. DPJ recently opened an MRO facility at the Sheltair Aviation FBO at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport, featuring a 15,000 sq ft hangar and 2,200 sq ft of office space, which supports scheduled and unscheduled maintenance as well as the servicing of private aircraft elsewhere in south Florida by a team of trained resident technicians.

The Windward VIP Club, presented by DPJ in partnership with Swiss watch manufacturer Ulysse Nardin, offers a premium open bar and gourmet food with wine tastings by Wine Enthusiast and other intimate events. A dedicated concierge team will arrange yacht tours, local dining reservations, private transportation and accommodation for private aviation.
