Austria's GlobeAir is partnering with the Alfa Romeo Sauber Formula 1 team.

The cooperation will commence next season and will include the transfer of racing drivers, team members and equipment as well as giving exclusive benefits to GlobeAir passengers who are F1 fans.

Throughout the season people, materials and machines need to be transported from race to race and country to country, over distances of thousands of kilometres. Formula 1 teams regularly invest time, money and effort in order for this process to function smoothly.

Under the terms of the deal, the operator will work with Sauber F1's CEO and principal Frederic Vasseur to ensure that drivers Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson arrive on time at their destination. GlobeAir's Mustangs will also be used to ferry urgent spare parts from Switzerland and engineers attending their next meeting. The VLJs are able to land at airfields with short runways such as Zeltweg, Girona and Speyer, all of which are in close proximity to European F1 circuits.

"Like the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team, GlobeAir is a team of hard-working people driven by passion," states CEO Bernhard Fragner. "Daily, we dedicate our working life to optimising the company's performances and bringing it to the next level. That's where our common vision lies and why we are very pleased about this partnership."

Sauber boss Vasseur adds: “We are pleased to welcome GlobeAir as an official partner. In Formula 1, it is essential to ensure the efficient and speedy transportation of our personnel. By providing on-demand tailored solutions for air travel, GlobeAir is a partner that can support us in optimising our processes.”

GlobeAir's logo will be featured on the sidepod floorline of the car from the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa. Its customers who are interested in exploring the world of Formula 1 will be granted exclusive access to the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 factory and wind tunnel in Hinwil, near Zurich. With behind-the-scenes looks and insights, the partnership will give GlobeAir passengers the opportunity to embark on an exclusive tour of the 'sacred halls' of the Sauber team.
