Civil engineering and marine construction business Cajun Industries, headquartered in Baton Rouge, has taken delivery of a Pilatus PC-24 jet, the first in the US south-east.
The company will retain its current turboprop PC-12 and will now be able to undertake a wider variety of trips. "With our growing and diverse travel requirements we needed a plane that could take us places quickly but be versatile enough to land in locations that might not be the best suited to a traditional jet," says Wayne Creel, president of Cajun Engineering Solutions, a division of Cajun Industries. "The PC-24 is the perfect jet for landing on short runways in remote areas where we have major construction projects in progress. It also complements our PC-12 in meeting different mission needs and providing product familiarity for our flight department."
The new aircraft was handed over in a closing ceremony held at Pilatus' US factory headquarters in Broomfield, CO, and was the first of the type to be delivered by distributor Epps Aviation.
"We are pleased to be able to provide Cajun Industries with an aircraft that will serve its growing and diverse travel needs as well as continue to provide the service and support it has grown accustomed to receive from us, for all of its Pilatus Aircraft," says Marian Epps, CFO of Epps Aviation. "Epps has a ready staff of trained pilots and orders for more PC-24s for our customers who want to upgrade to this fantastic aircraft."
