Finnish training organisation Coptersafety has appointed Mikko Kallio as test pilot and head of development. He will support the introduction of new flight simulation training devices and improve on existing ones.

EO Mikko Dahlman says: "The helicopter industry is thriving and we are continuously developing our company to meet our customers' needs. I am pleased to welcome Mikko Kallio into the company to bring modern ideas, practices and principles into helicopter procedures, based on his experience and knowledge of both fixed and rotary wing operations. His expertise helps us take our offering to the next level."

Kallio adds: "Coptersafety is a very attractive and fast-growing company with the latest flight simulator technology. I am happy to join its professional team and to improve safety."

Kallio retired as a Finnish Border Guard helicopter test/SAR pilot in autumn 2017. He is also type rated on the Airbus 330 with Finnair.
