Potocek adds to maintenance expertise at ABS Jets
Former Honeywell man Miroslav Potocek has taken the role of base manager for ABS Jets in Prague.

Czech operator ABS Jets has hired Miroslav Potocek as base maintenance manager. He will be responsible for managing all base maintenance and support shop activities at its Prague facility. He will also lead the company's technical teams and provide customer support.

Potocek has more than 15 years of experience working in the aerospace industry, in both the military and civil sectors, and has spent the last four years working in the US for Honeywell.

"ABS Jets is an excellent company with a strong name in the business aviation segment in central Europe,” he says. “I'm motivated to bring my knowledge of new technology in aircraft maintenance as well as my experience of flight safety gained during my time in the Czech Air Force.

“The MRO team here has vast experience with Embraer aircraft and this is a great opportunity for me to be a part of it.”

In 2004, ABS Jets had just two aircraft and 30 employees. Now it operates a fleet of 20 midsize and heavy jets, and has more than 300 qualified professionals based at airports in Prague and Bratislava, Slovakia.
