Air taxi operator Wijet, which currently manages a fleet of 15 Citation Mustangs, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Honda Aircraft Company for 16 HondaJets to upgrade its fleet.

The company was the first VLJ operation in France and offers travel to 1,200 airports throughout Europe and north Africa. The MoU follows Honda Aircraft's announcement in August 2017 naming the light jet as the most delivered aircraft in its class for the first half of last year, and its setting of several speed records. Wijet is expected to take delivery of its first HondaJet in March 2018, with the rest to follow over the following 18 months.

“There is no comparison to the HondaJet in its category,” says Wijet CEO Patrick Hersent. “We offer the best of the best in terms of products and experience while providing our partners with a safe and superior product at an affordable rate. The HondaJet does all of these things.”

Honda Aircraft president and CEO Michimasa Fujino adds: “I am confident the HondaJet will meet and exceed Wijet's expectations with its quiet, spacious and comfortable cabin combined with its unrivalled speed, efficiency and amenities such as a private lavatory and wi-fi connectivity.”

Honda Aircraft has established a worldwide dealer network to provide service and support for HondaJet customers.
