Swiss operator Premium Jet has decided to accept charter flight payments in the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. It is one of the first business aviation operators in Europe to offer the option.

The digital payment system enables customers to transact directly and independently with Premium Jet. Payments via the Bitcoin system can be made at any time of the day, on weekends or during public holidays.

The increasing popularity and growth of the electronic currency, which has doubled in value since the beginning of 2017, was a key factor in the decision.
