ASL/JetNetherlands has added a Piaggio P180 Avanti to its fleet. The aircraft had already been managed and operated by JetNetherlands a couple of years ago and has now been welcomed back to its former home, where it has been added to the group's Dutch AOC.

"We are really happy to see this owner return to us," comments safety manager Maxime Wauters. "It is our second Avanti and so far its performance has been very good. Initially it was exclusively flying for the owner, but now we have brought it onto the charter market too.

"Having a Piaggio in our fleet is nice. Just by its concept and design, it's a special aircraft. But most of the people who have tried it love it. It offers the comfort and the performances of a jet, with the operating cost and the takeoff and landing performance of a turboprop."

Wauters is not ruling out an expansion of the Avanti fleet in the future.
