ABS Jets gains experience and prestige from Gulfstream pair
Czech operator ABS Jets has added two further Gulfstreams to its fleet: a G650ER and a G550. Both aircraft will be for private owner use only.

Czech operator ABS Jets has added two further Gulfstreams to its fleet: a G650ER and a G550. Both aircraft will be for private owner use only. The company already flies two Gulfstream G550s and COO Jan Kralik says that bringing two more on will give ABS Jets more experience and prestige. “All of the fleet choices are made by the owner; if he needs the ER, he buys the ER,” he says. “The owners have their own pilots so they needed to get the correct type rating. As for handling agents and dispatchers, we had enough to cover these fleet additions.

“Having these two more Gulfstreams definitely gives us an edge. There are not many operators that have a fleet like this.”

Although the entry into service of the G500 and G600 is approaching, Kralik is not seeing much interest or uptake from his clients at the moment. Over the next year he would like to see the operator increase its charter presence. “We will probably add another aircraft to our charter fleet, though it is unlikely to be a Gulfstream. The other jets we have are seven Embraer Legacys and a Learjet.”
