Why visit ACE ’25?
GreyBird Pilot Academy has invested in a Tecnam P2006T which it will use for pilot training from its base at Aarhus in Denmark. “It is the most economical twin IFR aircraft,” says chief flight instructor Thomas Holck Eriksen. “Buying the P2006T has made it possible for us to include 105 hours multi-engine flying to educate new commercial pilots for the same price as other ATP courses. Minimum hours required by EASA regulations is 15, so our product really stands out.”
The aircraft has surpassed his expectations and is being used for fully integrated and modular ATPL courses. “The Tecnam has a glass cockpit and autopilot at an affordable price,” continues Eriksen. “Its short field operation is also excellent.”
GreyBird is currently expanding into Sweden, and says it is the only flight school operating in more than one Scandinavian country. Despite inclement weather in the region, Eriksen expects that an expansion in the number of locations and students lies ahead.
