VIP charter operator GainJet Ireland has had its application for an AOC approved by the Irish Aviation Authority, paving the way for commercial ops.

Based at Shannon airport, the recently established company is a subsidiary of Greek operator GainJet Aviation. Currently it offers for charter a Challenger 604, which will be based between Ireland, the UK and Greece as the company works to establish a fixed base for it.

GainJet Ireland CEO Dimitrios Kehayas states: “GainJet Ireland was established with a particular mission in mind: to expand GainJet's coverage of Europe and the west, while also supporting its current operations. The two companies are in place to complement one another, and together serve the client and the market to the highest level in terms of service, safety, aircraft availability, and convenience. We will test base locations for the Challenger, in order to examine where the ideal base would be for accomplishing our aligned mission. As our operation expands and new aircraft are added to the fleet, we'll focus on developing our base locations further.”
