DAS Private Jets of Mengen, Germany, will shortly take delivery of a Phenom 100. The company already operates a Phenom 300 and a CJ1 for short dist-ance flights with one or two passengers.
“This completes our fleet of new Phenom aircraft and is a good alternative to the 300,” comments captain Wolfram Wächter. “Passengers can enjoy almost the same comfort at a lower price, since the cabin looks almost the same size.”
The aircraft has a good size cabin and door and the cabin has been redesigned. “It is fresh and the technology is very modern,” continues Wächter. “We will soon have enough capacity as an air taxi company from airports in south Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Areas such as Hamburg and Paris are challenging because they are congested. In other areas the infrastructure is not so good so it can force people to fly privately to get around, which is good for us. We try to keep an open mind and cater to a varied market.”
The Phenom 100 will complement the Phenom 300 that joined the fleet at the start of this year, and will be able to transport passengers to short field runways in Europe that are otherwise difficult to access.
DAS has received assistance from Atlas Air Service in customs clearance and airworthiness certification.
