UK-based Synergy Aviation has added a Citation Mustang to its charter fleet which will operate from its latest base in Jersey, and has named Richard Nolan commercial manager (see front cover picture). MD Glen Heavens looks forward to the opportunities that Jersey will bring: “We have always performed well in the light jet market and have a strong customer base in Jersey. The cost-effectiveness of the Mustang opens the door to a wide market and enables us to introduce first-time customers to the advantages of business jet travel.”
Synergy's management team has established partnerships with Jersey-based tax and legal advisors to strengthen foundations across the Channel Islands. The company is also exploring strategic expansion by opening offices in other tax efficient jurisdictions in order to offer the best possible proposition to aircraft owners.
New recruit Nolan will be tasked with overseeing the expansion and ensuring that existing King Air and Citation customers continue to be well looked after. “Increasing charter revenue is just part of my remit; expanding our managed aircraft fleet is a large part of my work,” he comments. “Potential aircraft owners are notoriously difficult to identify and meet, however thanks to our contacts from the legal world, manufacturers and sales brokers, I am already working with several prospects.”
He believes that Jersey offers some unique advantages: “Its geographical position provides a great location offering private jet travel not only to clients departing from Jersey but also to those travelling between the main European hubs.”
