London Oxford Airport is to benefit from a high speed rail service linking Oxford Parkway Station with London. The service is due to commence at the end of October.

The station is located just five minutes from the airport and will serve Marylebone station in central London in under one hour, shaving approximately 15 minutes off the journey time from the airport, and trains will run from Oxford every half hour.

“The modern transport hub at Oxford Parkway with its rail link to London offers yet more choice for our London bound customers,” says airport md Andi Alexander. “We anticipate that many of our executive customers will take advantage of it making London Oxford an even better choice for those wanting to avoid the congestion of the busier airports around the capital.”

The airport is reporting an increase in business aviation traffic during 2015, bolstered by activity from established operators such as Air Hamburg, NetJets and VistaJet.
