Austrian operator GlobeAir has signed Nico Hülkenberg, Formula One driver and winner of the 2015 Le Mans 24-hour race, as its first brand ambassador. “The decision to approach Nico Hülkenberg and associate our image with him allows us to convey to the public the values of our company and the strengths that differentiate us from our competitors,” says chief marketing officer Mauro De Rosa.
“Nico is a strong and passionate professional. Winning the Le Mans 24-hour race he proved his talent with an extraordinary performance,” adds ceo Bernhard Fragner. “In that competition, as in the aviation business, precision and dedication are fundamental strengths necessary to excel,” adds ceo Bernhard Fragner.
Says Hülkenberg of his new role: “When I first had the chance to fly with GlobeAir I immediately became a big fan. Landing with its Citation Mustang jets into small airports is very convenient and time-saving. For instance, from Le Mans or Zeltweg I can reach the circuit in just a few minutes. Plus, every time I book my flight with GlobeAir I travel with the confidence that everything is well taken care of and I can focus completely on my next race.”
The decision to team with Hülkenberg is part of a broader marketing strategy aimed at consolidating GlobeAir's business on the international scene. “Nico is perfect for us because he has proved that endurance, commitment and dedication lead to success,” says marketing and communications manager Claudia Fanini. “This is the message we want to communicate to our stakeholders and it is the meaning of our motto: passion into profession.”
