Newly-established Lithuanian operator KlasJet is celebrating its first vip charter flight, following the issue of an AOC from the Lithuanian CAA late in June; the flight's destination was a Mediterranean resort.

“We are extremely proud about the fact that we have managed to obtain such a widely desired certificate in such a relatively short period of time. It is all the more exciting that the company is ready and able to launch its operations during the high season,” remarks ceo Vitalij Kapitonov.

“The fact that our first three-hour commercial flight comes right after the receipt of the AOC proves the growing demand for vip charter in this region. Our first passengers fully enjoyed their flight, conducted on our Challenger 850.”

KlasJet has launched with two jets – a Bombardier CRJ200 is offered alongside the Challenger. Both aircraft have been outfitted with the company livery and exclusive interiors, and in the long term Kapitonov hopes to operate up to 10 jets, including Legacys and Hawkers. The fleet is supported by parent company Avia Solutions Group and its full complement of EASA Part certificates. KlasJet is headquartered in Vilnius, where it owns heated hangars to operate all year round.
