New private aviation service begins at Trois-Rivières Airport

It was with enthusiasm that the members of the Champagne family, well known for its Bionest and Shalwin companies in Shawinigan, inaugurated their new company, Cjet Aviation, on November 6 at Trois-Rivières Airport in Quebec. They were surrounded for the occasion by the business and political community, coming from the four corners of Mauricie and Central Quebec. Many of them shared the joy of seeing a project like this take shape at the airport, thus participating in the development and vision of the city of Trois-Rivières.

Passionate about aviation since a young age, in addition to piloting different types of aircraft, Guillaume Champagne takes over the presidency of Cjet Aviation, which specialises in the field of private aviation. The company becomes the first FBO (fixed base operation) between Montreal and Quebec City, to the delight of aircraft owners in the surrounding regions. In addition to offering ground logistics services for planes and helicopters, Cjet Aviation wants to stand out with personalised service, thus meeting the most specific needs of its customers. Courtesy vehicles with or without a driver will be available, in addition to offering a concierge service, allowing its customers to discover the tourist gems of Mauricie.

Through different packages, Cjet Aviation will also soon offer the charter of its first aircraft, a Eurocopter EC120, a single-engine, four-passenger light utility helicopter, as well as a Piaggio P.180 Avanti, a seven-passenger twin-turboprop aircraft. The Piaggio is considered one of the fastest in its category, reaching a cruising speed of 740 km/h. For those whose time is a limited resource, Cjet Aviation will be there to become a proud partner in the development of growing local businesses.

With the goal of offering all the services of an FBO, Cjet Aviation has developed a partnership in the field of aeronautical mechanics. Global Air Services, a Quebec partner of choice, will be setting up shop in the Trois-Rivières hangar in the coming days. It will allow pilots in the surrounding area to be close to their mechanics for the maintenance and repair of their aircraft. Global Air Services specialises in several types of aircraft, both airplanes and helicopters, which opens up full potential for both partners.

The project represents a total investment of $8 million, including a 10,000 square foot hangar for heated indoor parking, available for rent, attached to two floors of luxurious lounges to satisfy customers and crew members. To top it all off, Cjet Aviation has taken the opportunity to build a chic multimedia conference room, up to date and overlooking the airport, also available by reservation.

Alongside the investments of the city of Trois-Rivières in its new terminal, Cjet Aviation arrives at the right time to make the airport a destination of choice in the world of aviation.
