Leading provider of flight training solutions, Axis Flight Simulation, has successfully qualified the Axis IRIS avionics rehost for the ATR 72-600 full-flight simulator (FFS) owned by Aviation Academy Austria, and upgraded the simulator visual system.

Axis Flight Simulation has updated the FFS's RSi visual software from XT5 to XT6 and upgraded the projectors to the latest Norxe P10 system.

Christian Theuermann, member of the executive board, Axis Flight Simulation, says: “Accomplishing the qualification of our avionics rehost and upgrading to the visual system highlights our dedication to constant improvement and innovation. The ATR 72-600 FFS will continue to support Aviation Academy Austria in training pilots with the latest simulator technology.”

Axis Flight Simulation delivered the ATR 72-600 FFS to Aviation Academy Austria, based in Neusiedl, in July 2018.
