Falcon fixes it for Finnish charter firm
Airfix Aviation has acquired a Dassault Falcon 2000EX. The management firm took delivery of the aircraft in December 2005 and plans to base it in Vienna, where the owner is situated.

Airfix Aviation has acquired a Dassault Falcon 2000EX. The management firm took delivery of the aircraft in December 2005 and plans to base it in Vienna, where the owner is situated.

Airfix will charter the aircraft to fly within Europe. According to the captain and senior manager Lars Lindell, the owner chose the aircraft type through word of mouth recommendation; he already knew the previous owners.

It is the fourth Falcon aircraft to join the fleet. Other aircraft include a Citation X and a Learjet 45. Airfix Aviation is also an approved Falcon service centre.

The response to the aircraft so far has been positive, according to Lindell. The company is very happy with the aircraft type and at present there are no plans to further extend the fleet, he said.

Many of Airfix's clients are keen to get their hands on a Falcon 7X, Lindell claims. However, there is already a long waiting list: "There are around 70 confirmed sales of the 7X so it could be some time, maybe 2008 or 2009, before the company is able to acquire one of the aeroplanes," he explained.
