FranceOil and gas helicopter services provider Westair Helicopters has signed a multi-services HCare In-Service contract to support its fleet of three H225 helicopters. Westair recently introduced the versatile H225 aircraft into its fleet to carry out offshore energy operations at its Lüderitz base in Namibia. With its extended range, the H225 fleet will support an oil and gas exploration campaign with TotalEnergies.
“The Namibian oil and gas industry requires extended range helicopters, and the long range performance capabilities of the H225 were required to serve TotalEnergies' exploration campaign,” explains Edwin Soeters, Westair Helicopters CEO. “With the fleet of three H225 helicopters, we will be able to offer a safe, reliable and efficient service to our most demanding customers.”
“We are honoured to support Westair Helicopters and TotalEnergies in their long-range offshore energy missions with this multi-services HCare package for the H225,” adds Romain Trapp, executive vice president, customer support and services at Airbus Helicopters. “This contract reflects their trust in our ability to deliver comprehensive support and ensure optimal availability, enabling the crews to focus on their critical operations with peace of mind.”
This multi-services contract provides support services encompassing timely replacement of parts, HUMS technical support and more. This results in decreased aircraft downtime and more stable maintenance expenses for Westair.
As the latest addition to the Super Puma family, the H225 is recognised for its high performance in challenging conditions as well as its outstanding range and payload capacity. The aircraft's state-of-the-art avionics and autopilot systems provide increased safety, while reducing pilot workload.
HCare is Airbus Helicopters' comprehensive services offer, providing superior customer service support in five domains: material management; helicopter MRO and upgrades; technical support; training and flight operations, and connected services.
