Indian private aviation and ground support services provider VVIP Flight has achieved Wyvern Wingman FBO certification following an audit in December 2024. The prestigious designation recognises the company’s commitment to the highest safety and operational standards in the aviation industry.
The Wyvern Wingman certification provides assurance to air charter and private jet operators when selecting ground handling and fixed base operator (FBO) services. VVIP Flight’s certified status is likely to boost the company's reputation as a trusted partner for private aviation, particularly in South Asia, where the market for private air travel continues to grow.
Ms. Nisha Verma, CEO of VVIP Flight Pvt Ltd, says: “Receiving the Wyvern Wingman FBO certification is a testament to our unwavering focus on safety, service quality and operational integrity. This achievement reinforces our position as a trusted partner for VVIP and private aviation needs. We remain committed to exceeding industry expectations and redefining excellence in general aviation services.”
Andy Day, senior vice president of operations at Wyvern, adds: “We congratulate VVIP Flight for being the first organisation in India and the third FBO worldwide to achieve Wingman FBO certification. This recognition validates its effective safety management system and excellence in managing ground operations and aircraft handling. Organisations achieving Wingman FBO certification stand apart by demonstrating their conformity to global best practices and allowing Wyvern to continually monitor their safety information.”
The certification comes amid a growing focus on excellence in safety across the global FBO sector. ExecuJet Australia became the first to achieve the Wyvern Wingman FBO designation in May 2024, setting a benchmark with its operations at Essendon Fields and Sydney’s Kingsford Smith International airports. Signature Aviation followed in January 2025, earning the certification for its Tocumen International Airport facility in Panama City, the first FBO in the Americas to do so.
