Østnes orders ten H125s from Airbus
Nordic utility operators require a versatile helicopter that can perform a wide range of missions, and this order means Airbus distributor Østnes Helicopters can offer short delivery times.
The 10 H125s will join a fleet of more than 150 in the Nordic region, which mainly perform utility and aerial work missions.

Ostnes Helicopters, the official distributor for Airbus Helicopters in the Nordic countries, has agreed a contract for 10 H125s with Airbus. They will join a fleet of more than 150 H125s in the region, which mainly perform utility and aerial work missions.

“Nordic customers require a truly versatile helicopter that can perform a wide range of missions,” says CEO Frode Østnes. “The H125 has proven that it has the capabilities time and again. Our customers in the region depend on these aircraft for essential missions, and we are determined to ensure they benefit from short delivery times. This order ensures we have the best availability for the best helicopter.”

“We are proud to write another chapter in our more than 30-year partnership with Ostnes Helicopters,” adds Thomas Hein, head of Europe region at Airbus Helicopters. “The H125 is the world’s most successful single-engine helicopter, and we are happy that Østnes is strongly committed to supporting our ambition to expand our market share in the Nordic region. With this agreement we look forward to further strengthening our presence.”

Ostnes Helicopters is the authorised distributor for Airbus Helicopters in the Nordic countries. The company has established a strong presence in the rotorcraft sector in the region and has successfully sold more than 400 helicopters, both new and on the secondary market. Its maintenance organisation, Ostnes Aero, is approved to provide full MRO services for the H120, H125 and H130 models. From this year, its scope also includes full support for the H145, supported by a team of certified technicians and avionics experts specially trained for the H145 helicopter.
