Family-owned Citadel brings in Jet Aviation veteran
Boyle is responsible for leading and overseeing Citadel Completions and for the delivery of V/VIP completions projects while providing leadership and direction for all aspects of completions and MRO programmes.

Citadel Completions, a provider of interior completions for large aircraft based in Lake Charles, Louisiana, has appointed Neil J. Boyle as its SVP of operations and general manager. In this role, Boyle is responsible for leading and overseeing Citadel Completions and for the execution and delivery of V/VIP completions projects while providing leadership and direction for all aspects of completions and MRO programmes, reporting directly to the family ownership group.

Boyle is a highly experienced and respected figure in the aviation industry. He recently retired from Jet Aviation, headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, as its SVP and general manager of Basel operations. During his time there, he was responsible for the operations and strategic execution of completions, refurbishments, upgrades, repair and maintenance of various aircraft types, such as Airbus and Boeing business/corporate jets and large cabin models.

His extensive knowledge spans multiple areas within aviation and regulatory compliance adherence to safety and quality requirements across all projects. Before his Jet Aviation assignment, Boyle worked at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, headquartered in Savannah, Georgia, General Dynamic's other aviation segment. At Gulfstream, he worked within the production and operations organisation dedicated to G450 and G550 green aircraft production.

Gulfstream hired Boyle after he retired from the United States Air Force, where he began his career as a T-38A mechanic and retired 20 years later as an F-15E fighter squadron production superintendent, serving in multiple countries worldwide. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics, a minor in Aerospace/Aviation safety and an Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. He is certified in Lean Six Sigma (BMGi) and lean manufacturing and holds an FAA Airframe and Powerplant licence.
