ABAA launches aviation jobs portal
The jobs page provides a dedicated platform aimed at connecting employers with business aviation-ready professionals looking for career progression within their specific field and local network.

The Australian Business Aviation Association (ABAA) has launched a jobs page dedicated to listing vacancies within the business aviation sector. The page provides a dedicated platform aimed at connecting employers with business aviation-ready professionals looking for career progression within their specific field and local network. The initiative comes in response to emerging employment trends and feedback from association members.

"The industry has recovered strongly in the past 12 months and experienced significant growth driven by new entrants, fleet turnover and expansion," says ABAA CEO Jessica Graham. "As a result, today's business aviation labour market is increasingly dynamic. Employers are reporting plenty of movement within the industry, and we are also seeing that recruitment from other segments, scheduled airlines locally and in the US for example, is becoming increasingly aggressive as those sectors also struggle to rebuild the workforce they need to meet the continued demand."

Supporting the recruitment and retention of professional talent is a priority for the ABAA and has motivated the association to offer this online resource to its members and those looking to come into the field.

Within the first few days of the page launch, a number of listings have been posted that include vacancies for ground-based aircraft handling agents, licensed aircraft maintenance engineers and pilots across a range of jet types.

A planned expansion of the service in 2023 will look to include listings for qualified professionals seeking work.
