Washington, DC-headquartered non-profit aviation safety organisation The Air Charter Safety Foundation has welcomed Robert Rufli as director of operations. At the same time, the ACSF has welcomed Todd Weeber as chair, Jessie Naor as vice chair and John Brogan as treasurer of its board of governors.
Weeber says: “I'm grateful for the opportunity to take on this leadership position and work together with our executive committee, board of governors and advisory board to continue to execute ACSF's strategic and inclusive vision for the future of aviation safety.”
Rufli, who formerly served as head of the ACSF's board of governors and executive committee, is being succeeded in that position by Weeber, the chief operating officer and head of safety and service for Boston, Massachusetts-based charter brokerage Magellan Jets.
In the newly created operations role, Rufli will be responsible for maintaining the ACSF SMS Toolkit, which he was instrumental in helping develop and bring to market in 2021. Additionally, he will support the ACSF's programmes, including its Industry Audit Standard, the Aviation Safety Action Programme as well as the organisation's flight data monitoring services.
ACSF president Bryan Burns says: “Bob's commitment to safety speaks for itself. We're extremely lucky to have an aviation leader of his calibre in such an important role on our team.”
As members of the ACSF's executive committee, Jessie Naor will succeed Weeber as vice chair and John Brogan will succeed Joe Salata as board treasurer. Naor is the president of GrandView Aviation, a Part 135 operation based in the Baltimore, Maryland area and Brogan is the president of USAIG, an aviation insurance specialist headquartered in New York.
