Dallas police gifted Bell 407
The Dallas Police Department is thrilled to have the support of Ross Perot Jr in making Dallas a safe city. His gift of a helicopter extends the force's capabilities, and should leave the bad guys quaking in their boots.

US real estate developer and the businessman behind Fort Worth Alliance Airport and Hillwood Airways Ross Perot Jr has always shown an interest in assisting the City of Dallas by providing state-of-the-art crime fighting tools. About one year ago, he reached out to the city to ask whether it needed another helicopter. Several months later, and after numerous meetings, Perot was finally able to donate a Bell 407 helicopter to the Dallas Police Department.

The donation was celebrated by landing the helicopter in front of City Hall, and was presented to mayor Eric Johnson and chief of police Eddie Garcia.

“This generous gift from the Ross Perot Jr family and Hillwood Aviation will help improve public safety in the City of Dallas,” says Garcia.

The addition of the Bell helicopter to the Dallas Police Department's existing maturing fleet will provide increased operating capabilities, greater critical response and longer flight times. It will also be a useful resource for other city departments.
