Alto Aviation, a designer, manufacturer and distributor of customised cabin audio systems for all aircraft in business aviation, has named Steven Hatley as director of engineering.
Hatley lead engineering teams at DCI Engineering directing the design and full-scale launch of a new generation of modular data centres for HP and Microsoft. He also managed a project team at Carrier that fully developed and launched a next-generation fire suppression system with cloud-based support. In addition, Hatley was instrumental in successfully introducing a system of innovation through model-based design to his engineering department.
In his new role as director of engineering at Alto, Hatley will supervise the company's whole engineering team, including the cabin systems engineering team and the R&D department, and report directly to Steve Scarlata, VP of engineering/ R&D at Alto Aviation.
