Helibras responds to the PPE call
Supports and masks will be donated to the Hospital de Clínicas and Santa Casa de Misericórdia, both located in the city of Itajubá (MG).
Airbus us developing PPE projects around the world.

As a result of the high demand for personal protective equipment needed to combat the proliferation of coronavirus, engineers at the systems integration laboratory of Helibras, a Brazilian subsidiary of Airbus Helicopters, are producing face protection masks and shields using 3D printing technology.

The project consists of printing the mask holder affixed to the front of the head. This support will be attached to an elastic manual adjustment, as well as a frontal acetate sheet positioned to protect the eyes, nose and mouth, minimising possible contact with the virus.

The supports and masks will be donated to the Hospital de Clínicas and Santa Casa de Misericórdia, both located in the city of Itajubá (MG).

Airbus is also developing similar projects around the world.
