Lithuanian operator KlasJet, an Avia Solutions Group subsidiary, has entered its latest fleet addition, a Boeing 737-500, into service. Featuring a refined economy class interior and 120 seats, the aircraft will be used to expand the company's business to new markets and follows the entry into service of two other 737-500s earlier this year.

“During the past year, we have expanded our operations and developed a new corporate charter flights segment with our specially designed business class B737-500s. The newest, LY-JMS, will allow us to offer our services for a new type of customer,” remarks CEO Justinas Bulka.

The aircraft will principally be deployed for charter and ACMI. With this latest addition, KlasJet's fleet now comprises six aircraft, comprising a Bombardier CRJ200, Challenger 850 and four Boeing 737-500s. This fleet has proven to be a popular choice among customers in Europe and the Middle East since 2013.

The rapid expansion of the fleet, meeting the demands of existing and potential customers, was made possible because of the close cooperation between Avia Solutions Group's MRO companies, Jet Maintenance Solutions and FL Technics, as well as AviaAM Leasing, a tailored leasing solutions provider and sister company of Avia Solutions Group.

“And we are not stopping there. Soon we will release another specially designed, versatile business class 737-500 LY-FLT with an interchangeable interior able to transform from 68 to 102 business class seats,” notes Bulka.

KlasJet targets specialised segments and groups such as sports clubs, show business, diplomatic flights, VIP flights, VIP tours and M.I.C.E.
