German operator AirGO has commenced charter operations with a Piaggio Avanti EVO. The company, which already flies five Avantis, has a presence in the UK, French and Mediterranean markets. It also ventures to north Africa and the Middle East, having built up its client base since 2003. The aircraft was sold by UK Piaggio dealer ConnectJets and is the first EVO in Germany.

“The Avanti EVO is a very important addition to our charter fleet as it reflects our attention to economic and environmental sensitivity,” says CEO Daniela Flierl.

“From the beginning, the Avanti was designed with outstanding cabin comfort. It is fast like a jet due to its streamlined design, and at the same time it is fuel efficient like a turboprop. The upgraded propeller on the EVO meets our expectations for noise pollution reduction.”

In mid February, AirGO's EVO completed its maiden charter flight from London City airport to Palma de Mallorca.

“Many of our Avanti owners finance the cost of their owner flights through charter sales to third party clients,” explains director of flight coordination Carolin Seiter-Loheit. “A further advantage is the enormous experience we have in operating this unique aircraft. That can save a lot of money in maintenance costs and prevention of ground time.”
