DC Aviation Al Futtaim (DCAF) has taken on a Global 5000 for charter. The aircraft has been flown by the operator for some time but was previously stationed at Stuttgart in Germany, according to sales manager Paul James. “We decided to move the Global to Dubai as the market for long range aircraft is very strong in the region,” he says.
“Having a charter aircraft completes the final jigsaw piece which was missing in the Dubai operation of DCAF. It was a case of moving the pieces around to utilise it better. It will be more popular here than it was in Europe.”
Having full ad hoc availability and not requiring owner approval is a big plus. “We like Bombardier products but do have a mixture of OEMs in our fleet,” James adds. “We would like to get this aircraft flying as much as possible to give DC Aviation more exposure in the Middle East market and cement its reputation as one of the fastest growing operators in the region. That's the number one goal.”
