Why visit ACE ’25?
A Bell 429 rotorcraft operated by Swiss operator Air Zermatt is to appear in this season's Red Bull TV series The Horn. A six-part documentary series, the programme is set in the treacherous terrain of the Matterhorn mountain and chronicles the day-to-day work of Air Zermatt in rescuing people at altitude.
The 429 has had an encouraging uptake in Europe for HEMS and parapublic missions with Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Air Zermatt and INAER France all selecting the type. It is said to have more cabin space than any other light twin helicopter on the market, with a flat floor and seating for seven passengers and one flight crew. It also has 60-inch wide side doors and optional rear clam-shell doors for quick and easy access. The cockpit includes an advanced drive system, WAAS/SBAS navigation and IFR capability.
