Jota Aviation of London Southend has completed the first year of operations with its BAe 146-200 regional jet. The aircraft will have flown nearly 800 hours on trips as far afield as Marrakech, and during the peak summer period it flew 500 hours. “We have been really encouraged by the support we have received from airlines, charter brokers and other groups,” says commercial manager Mike Sessions.

The company, which also flies a fleet of King Airs, has been shortlisted for Best Passenger Airline at the upcoming BACA Awards. It is the third time Jota has been nominated for this prize, and the winner will be announced this month.
