Aeris Aviation is to market the Eclipse 550 in collaboration with London department store Harrods. A Harrods Special Edition version of the jet will retail for 3.4 million USD with all factory optional extras included in the package, along with a customised paint scheme and logo reflecting the Harrods brand.

Throughout August and September, the department store is showcasing a branded model of the jet and, as an added incentive, is offering $50,000 on a pre-loaded store card to buyers.

Ceo of Aeris Aviation David Hayman says: “It has taken many years and around £1 billion to develop the Eclipse 550. This is the world's only true twin engine VLJ and in fact is more of a personal jet than a corporate business jet. It has been crammed with the latest technology to make the ride safer, quieter and quicker, and the jet has a top speed of 373 kts.

“Everything about the 550 is based around efficiency and economy. We can get six people from London to Nice at 41,000 feet in under two hours.”

Guy Cheston, director of Harrods Media, adds: “Harrods has always prided itself on offering the most exclusive and unique products, and the Aeris Eclipse 550 personal jet is certainly one to excite our discerning clientele.”
