King Air will satisfy niche markets, says Xclusive

Xclusive Jet Charter, based at Southampton airport, UK, has added a King Air 350 to its AOC. The turboprop will operate from Gloucestershire airport and serve the UK and wider European charter market. Md Steve Loveridge comments: “The King Air is a great addition to the Xclusive Jet fleet, extending the range of aircraft performance and cost choices to our customers. The 350 complements the light, medium and heavy business jets currently operated.

“While some parts of our market may see crossover, the King Air generally appeals to a different client base and requirement, whether it be the specific golfing trip with clubs, the skiing trip with skis, those corporations that make multi-site visits in one day, locations that are home to smaller, lesser used airfields, or for those clients chasing the horse racing circuit around the UK and Ireland.

“A jet at times may not be able to comfortably carry all of the equipment, whereas the King Air satisfies the niche market.”

The operator had further good news at the turn of the year when its Falcon 900B gained CAA approval for operations into and out of London City airport.

The company says that next on its agenda is completion of the trial for EFB approval which, once concluded during early 2015, will allow for the use of iPads or similar for the storage of company documents, flight manuals and charts.
