Airbus helps boost Comlux's long range lead
Fly Comlux, a vip division of Comlux the Aviation Group, has signed an aircraft management contract for an Airbus ACJ318 based in the Middle East. The operator believes it has consolidated its position as a leader in the management of ultra large cabin and long range aircraft with this news, as its roster includes several ACJs and BBJs.

Andrea Zanetto, ceo, says: “Comlux has been established in the Middle East since 2010 and we already have several aircraft based in the region, such as the 767BBJ and the ACJ320. Seven years ago we started to operate ACJ318 aircraft as a launch customer. Since then, we have been one of the very few vip operators worldwide operating the ACJ family at the highest level of certification, including ETOPS 180 and CatIIIB approaches and landings.

“With such a strong knowledge of the product and its vip cabin interior, I am fully convinced our team will provide outstanding, customised service to the owner.”

Fly Comlux manages a fleet of 19 vip aircraft: one Boeing 767BBJ, one ACJ321, one ACJ320, three ACJ319s, three ACJ318s, a Global 6000, a Global XRS, two Global 5000s, two Challenger 605s, one Challenger 604, one Challenger 850, one Falcon 900LX, two Legacy 650s and a Hawker 900XP.

Comlux is also welcoming Arnaud Martin to its management team, as executive vp and board member, starting from July.

“The shareholders of Comlux are determined to reinforce their position in the various markets where they play a role and therefore Arnaud represents an asset in obtaining this objective,” comments Richard Gaona, president and ceo.

In his previous role as vp of the ACJ programmes, Martin was in charge of the development and production of Airbus vip aircraft, from the ACJ318 to the ACJ380. He supervised the delivery of more than 120 jets during this time.

He says: “I am delighted to join the Comlux team. The fact that the group is involved in aircraft operations, cabin completions, aircraft transactions and services is very unique and interesting to me. I will focus my time and expertise towards reinforcing the Comlux position in the industry.”
