Due to the success of its busy London Biggin Hill facility, Castle Air decided to expand by purchasing the hangar next door. This will double the size of its facility as well as giving it much needed apron space.

Castle Air is to provide operations, maintenance and engineering support to the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust. To this end it has obtained extensions to its existing CAA and maintenance approvals.

The firm, based in Liskeard, Cornwall, claims to be one of the biggest Agusta service centres in Europe. It flies around 1,200 hours with its own A109 charter fleet, as well as undertaking photography and filming flights for well-known British television shows along Cornwall's picturesque coast.
