Designed to improve safety, situational awareness and communication in flight ops, the PNG wireless intercom was integrated by Leonardo prior to delivery. Three STAR AW169s will support HEMS, hoist and firefighting.
The first US AW169 EMS helicopter fleet is now in service with STAR Flight. The three helicopters assist rescue efforts in south central Texas, an area with over 1.2 million people that includes Austin.
