Also known as the Ardiden 3C, the French-Chinese WZ16 is a new-generation turboshaft in the 1,700-2,000 shp range. It has been jointly developed and built by Safran Helicopter Engines and AECC.

WZ16 type certification from the Chinese authorities marks a major milestone for Safran Helicopter Engines and AECC. The turboshaft is being installed in China's AVIC AC352 helicopter.
