Hampshire and IoW air ambulance notches up 12,000 missions

Since its first take off on 1 July 2007, the charity, which operates an Airbus Helicopters H135, has responded to more than 17,500 missions across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and surrounding areas by air and road.

Four of the UK's air ambulance charities have reported record-breaking years, their Airbus H135, Bell 429 and Agusta Westland 109SP helicopters were at their busiest since before the COVID pandemic.
Babcock extends contract with UK aeromedical charity

The contract sees a move to 19-hour ops on a full time basis for the next three years. Babcock will ensure continuity of the operation, from maintenance of the aircraft to the management of the aeronautical team.
