Rainier Heli International is a family business with roots back to 1998, when it was started by helicopter industry stalwart Elling Halvorson and his son Lon. The team has been impressed with the SH09 so far.
Two further operators have ordered Kaman's K-MAX, and for different purposes. Mountain Blade Runner Helicopters will deploy the aircraft for firefighting, while St Louis Helicopter will put it to agricultural use.
