Before CareFlight's presence in the NT, the region faced significant challenges in providing medical care to remote communities. Fixed-wing aeromedical services were often disrupted by wildlife on the runway.

If successful in its bid, CareFlight's new and substantially improved helicopter capability will support Ambulance Tasmania, Tasmania Police and land and maritime-based SAR services across the state.

The H145 is a fit-for-purpose platform, offering a quick start solution and is the only helicopter in its class capable of nimbly executing EMS missions within a metropolitan city, according to rapid responder CareFlight.
