Karachi-based Princely Business Jets, owned by the Akbar Group, has taken the first steps that eventually could put Pakistan on the map for global business jet travel to and from North America and Asia. It is developing long-range capacity by acquiring a Challenger 601, forming an alliance with Bombardier's Skyjet International, and refining a business plan that involves insurance for war zones, corporate memberships and adhoc charters.
Bombardier says that due to the very strong growth in business aviation in the Middle East, it has further expanded its Skyjet International programme in the Middle East, establishing a presence in Pakistan through an alliance with Princely Jets, a business jet operator in the region. It has also selected the Royal Jet Group to join its business jet charter network.
