The A5 performed the unmanned flights at a low altitude while loosely tethered to the ground. The next stage of testing is conventional flight and transition.

The ASKA A5 has received authorisation to drive on public roads from the US Department of Motor Vehicles, and the company has successfully conducted more than 300 miles of road testing around Silicon Valley.

ASKA is working closely with the FAA on type certification of its A5 fly/drive eVTOL, which signifies the design is in compliance with applicable airworthiness, noise, fuel venting and exhaust emissions standards.
